Plum;

We’re Luke Williams and Natasha Soobramanien and we set up Plum in June 2003. We wanted to promote new writing by emerging and established writers, and drew many of our first readers from our colleagues on the MA in Creative Writing at UEA, where we met. Our first home was Public Life, an East End bar in a converted public toilet.
In 2007, Plum was invited by the Whitechapel Gallery in London to take up an ongoing residency in their cafe/bar as part of their ‘Late Nights’ season of live literature, poetry and spoken word events.
